The Secretary-General of the Algerian Olympic Committee, Khair Eddine Berbari, confirmed that the issue of the Algerian club, Ittihad Algeria, in its dispute with the Confederation of African Football (CAF), has become a national issue.
This confirmation came in Press statementsOn the sidelines of the General Assembly of the Algerian Olympic and Sports Committee, yesterday, Saturday.
Barbari stated, “We said that the issue of the USM has become a national issue.” It has become an issue that affects all the Algerian people. We noticed all the clubs that supported USMA.”

It is worth noting at this point that, according to Article 50 of the Olympic Charter (paragraph 2), “any slogan or political propaganda, religious or ethnic, is not permitted in a place, location, or any Olympic facility.”
Optimism in recovering the right of the Algerian Federation
Barbari added with a tone of optimism: “We are pushing with all our might to bring the case to the decision makers, and we have confidence in the Sports Arbitration Court (TASS) in Lausanne, which is considered an impartial and credible body.” God willing, the decision will be in favor of the Capital Union Club.
It is worth noting that the final of the African Confederation of Football Cup is officially programmed, between Nahdet Berkane and Zamalek of Egypt. So, the 12th of May was set for the first leg in Morocco, and the 19th of the same month for the return match in Cairo.
