Namibia’s President, Haji Geingob, died early Sunday at Lady Pohamba Hospital in the capital, Windhoek, according to an announcement by the President’s Office on the social networking site “X”.
The Namibian presidency wrote in a statement: “It is with great sadness that we inform you that Haji Geingob died on Sunday at Lady Pohamba Hospital, where he was receiving medical treatment and by his side were his wife and children.”
Recall that the President of Namibia, Kincup had health problems before coming to power. In 2013, he underwent brain surgery.
In 2014, while he was Prime Minister, Kincup announced that he had recovered from cancer and became president the following year.
