Arkab supervises the ceremony commemorating the nationalization of mines and the founding of the Algerian Sonaram-Al-Hawar company

Today, Thursday in Algiers, the Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, supervised the ceremony commemorating the 58th anniversary of the nationalization of mines and the 57th anniversary of the founding of the National Company for Mining Research and Exploitation “SONARAM”, which is being held this year under the slogan “Algeria’s mines, inner treasures for strategic ambitions.”
This ceremony will be held at the Abdellatif Rahal International Conference Center, under the patronage of Prime Minister Nadhir Al-Arbawi, who is represented at this ceremony by his chief of staff, Murad Ben Amer, in the presence of a number of government members.
On this occasion, contracts and agreements will be signed regarding some mines and mining sector projects, as well as a number of veteran “SONARAM” workers will be honored, in exchange for their efforts that they have made during their professional careers in contributing to the development of the mining sector.
The commemoration of this anniversary will also include the organization of an exhibition on various mining resources in Algeria, the showing of a documentary film and a photo exhibition on the anniversary of the nationalization of mines (May 6, 1966) and the anniversary of the founding of SONARAM (May 11, 1967), and the issuance of the first edition of postage stamps commemorating the anniversary.
