President Tebboune offers condolences on the death of the former Italian president – Algerian Dialogue

The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, sent a message of condolence to his Italian counterpart, Sergio Mattarella, following the death of former President of the Italian Republic, Giorgio Napolitano, today, Saturday.

The condolence message stated: “His Excellency Sergio Mattarella, President of the friendly Italian Republic.

I learned with great sadness the news of the death of former President of the Italian Republic, Giorgio Napolitano. With this painful tragedy, I express to Your Excellency, to his honorable family, and to the friendly Italian people, my deepest condolences and sincere sympathy, wishing you patience and solace.”

It is noteworthy that former Italian President Giorgio Napolitano died at the age of 98. He served as the leader of the former Communist Party and the position of head of state in a number of governments between 2006 and 2015.
