The Ministry of Education in Algeria ordered the cessation of all school trips, following the Al-Sablat tragedy, which claimed the lives of five children who were on a tourist trip with two associations from the states of Medea and Bouira.
The education directorates received instructions, which they in turn forwarded to primary education inspectors, administration and directors of educational institutions for the three levels in order to comply with the decision to stop school trips until further notice.
The guardian authorities decided to prevent all associations from organizing tourist trips, while directing instructions to the security services to stop any trip organized by an association, bringing the association members and those responsible for the trip to justice, and increasing the penalty to immediate imprisonment.
This decision comes after the recent tragedy in the Sablatt region of Algiers
