Today, Thursday, the National Financial and Economic Criminal Pole at the Sidi M’hamed Court in Algiers issued a sentence of 12 years in prison against former Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia, while the two former Prime Ministers, Abdelmalek Sellal and Noureddine Bedoui, were convicted of 10 years in prison, following up on related charges. with corruption.
In the same case, the former Ministers of Industry, Abdel Salam Bouchouareb and Abdel Hamid Tamar, and the former governor, Drissi Ali, were convicted of 20 years in prison with the support of an international arrest warrant against them. The former financier, Mohamed Lokal, to 8 years in prison.
The former Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Hoda Pharaon, and the former Minister of Transport and Public Works, Ammar Gul, were also convicted of 4 years in prison.
A fine of one million dinars has also been imposed on all defendants.

While the former Minister of Post, Ammar Tou, as well as the former Secretary General of the Ministry of Transport, Muhammad Muhareb, benefited from the acquittal ruling.
For reference, those accused have been pursued on charges related to corruption, the most important of which are squandering public funds, misusing the position, and granting undue benefits during the conclusion of public deals, especially in the water resources, postal, and telecommunications sectors.
