The commemoration of the historic battle of Satara, as indicated by Mr. Rebeka, coincides with the anniversary of the Great Battle of Souk Ahras, as well as the 122nd anniversary of the uprising (Riga) in the areas of Ain Defla, which confirms that the history of Algeria is an interconnected series studded with glories and sacrifices.
As a reminder, the events of the Battle of Satara took place in the Bani Sabih mountains in the municipality of Ghabala on April 26 and 27, 1958, under the leadership of the martyr Mustafa Filali. The area was a center for the National Liberation Army and a link between the states of Jijel and Skikda, as well as a crossing point for mujahideen from various sides.
In the battle, according to the memorial mural located next to the Martyrs’ Cemetery in Ghabala, 410 martyrs, including civilians and mujahideen, were killed, while more than 1,100 French soldiers were eliminated, with a number of aircraft being shot down and several military tanks being destroyed.
The Minister of Mujahideen and Rights Defenders had stressed during the first day of his visit to Jijel Province that preserving national memory and delivering it to current generations remains dependent on the use of modern means of communication and technologies.

The Minister of Mujahideen and People of Rights, Eid Rabaika, today, Saturday, in Jijel Province, celebrated the 66th anniversary of the famous Battle of Sattara (Ghabala Municipality) (April 26-27, 1958), in which the Mujahideen inflicted heavy losses in lives and equipment on the colonizers.
