On Tuesday evening, at the request of Algeria and three other countries, the UN Security Council will hold an open session on food security in Gaza.

This open session will be held after a request submitted by Algeria, Guyana, Switzerland and Slovenia, to discuss the state of food security in Gaza in light of the humanitarian catastrophe that the Strip is experiencing, as a result of the ongoing Zionist aggression since last October 7.

The Palestinian authorities confirmed, in previous statements, that the famine is deepening in the Gaza Strip, where 2,400,000 citizens live, warning of a global humanitarian catastrophe in which hundreds of thousands of children and women will fall victim, calling on the free people of the world to break the siege and pressure the occupation to stop the genocidal war.

The same authorities alerted that the occupation began implementing a policy of starvation and thirst leading to famine since it began the genocidal war it is waging against civilians, children and women in all governorates of the Gaza Strip, and more focused on the governorates of Gaza and North Gaza, by preventing the entry of aid into… Sector governorates.

The Palestinian authorities in Gaza demand an “immediate” and “urgent” halt to the genocidal war against civilians, children and women, the lifting of the siege, and the entry of 10,000 aid trucks daily, in a principled, immediate and urgent manner before the humanitarian catastrophe occurs, stressing the necessity of bringing aid into the Gaza and North Gaza governorates. , holding the occupation authorities and their accomplices fully responsible for this famine, the episodes of which are taking place in full view of the entire world without anyone doing anything.
