An informational parliamentary mission will be in the state of Tlemcen to inspect the facilities of the Algerian cultural sectors – Al-Hiwar
A delegation from the Tourism, Culture and Communication Committee, headed by Ahmed Moaz, head of the committee, arrived in the wilaya of Tlemcen, yesterday evening, Sunday, as part of a temporary information mission to find out about the facilities and facilities of the cultural and tourism sectors in the wilaya.
Upon its arrival, the delegation was received by Amommen Marmouri, the governor of the state, accompanied by the state deputies, the head of the state people’s assembly, and the executives involved in the visit.
During the exchange of conversations, Moaz explained that the delegation’s visit is part of the program drawn up by the committee in order to stand on the reality of the cultural and tourism sectors, to monitor the difficulties they face and the concerns of their members, as well as to consider the possibility of proposing suitable solutions and submitting them to the concerned authorities, especially with the approaching holiday season.
After a welcoming speech to the delegation, the Wali explained that Tlemcen is considered one of the leading tourist destinations in Algeria, given its heritage and cultural landmarks and sites, which attract significant numbers of local and foreign tourists throughout the year.
The governor continued, reviewing the tourist potentials that abound in it, and mentioned the most prominent of which are the “Castle of El-Mashour,” the “Manara of Mansoura,” the “Great Mosque,” the “religious complex of Sidi Boumediene,” and the city of “Nedrouma.”
Marmouri added that the state is historically, culturally and heritage rich, as it was the cradle of many civilizations, starting from the prehistoric period up to the Islamic period, which left behind valuable architectural monuments and evidence.
In turn, the director of the sector explained that tourism activity in the region continues throughout the year and does not stop at a specific season, pointing out that his directorate launched in 2021 a cultural route, along with five other routes between religious, coastal, Hammamet (bathrooms), natural, and others related to traditional industries, and they were distributed to Tourist agencies in the state.
In this context, the same official pointed out that natural tourism is related to various sites such as “Bani Aad Cave”, the largest cave in the world, which sometimes reaches 7 thousand visitors in the summer, and “Lorit Falls” and others, adding that it is tourism. Diverse include coast, plateaus and forests.
It is worth noting that the delegation will continue its duties by examining several sites and facilities in the state on Monday morning until tomorrow, Tuesday.
