The Minister of Commerce stresses the need to adhere to the prices set for imported red meat – Algerian Dialogue

The Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Tayeb Zitouni, stressed the need to adhere to the prices set at 1,200 DZD per kilogram of imported red meat.
The minister confirmed at the first point for selling imported meat during his visit to the state of Mostaganem, today, Thursday, that the national market will be supplied with 85 thousand tons until the end of January 2024, provided that the import process will continue at a rate of 20 thousand tons per month.
At the inauguration of the wholesale market for vegetables and fruits, run by a private dealer, Zitouni stressed the importance of these organized spaces in contributing to supplying the markets, and breaking the chain of meddlers and speculators, in order to protect producers and farmers, and apply real prices to citizens.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Minister inspected the project to establish a quality control and fraud suppression laboratory. He stressed that the Ministry’s interests attach great importance to protecting the consumer through the completion of these laboratories.
