Ibrahim Bogali, head of the National People’s Assembly, affirmed today, Saturday, in the capital, Baghdad, that the Arab countries are looking forward to a more just international system away from the policy of double standards, a system in which they have considerable weight, adding that this matter is achievable, especially if the wealth is employed and the word is unified.

During his intervention in the work of the 34th Conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, the Speaker of the Council considered that this meeting should be an opportunity to focus efforts and energies on the strategic goals imposed by the aspirations of the Arab peoples, especially in light of the rapid fluctuations and events that the world is going through.

In this context, Bogali warned of the challenges facing the Arab region, such as complex crises as a result of external interference, as well as the continuing threat of terrorism and organized crime, targeting intellectual and social security, in addition to climate changes, as well as the Ukrainian crisis, and stressed that facing its repercussions requires prioritization in Arab parliaments. Realistic and insightful.

Regarding the current situation in the region, the President of the Council affirmed that Algeria will always remain with Iraq until it recovers, preserves its unity, and achieves its stability and sovereignty. He also renewed Algeria’s firm support for just causes and its standing by the brothers in Syria, Libya, Lebanon, Sudan and Somalia.

Boghali did not fail to refer to the justness of the Palestinian cause, calling for continued support for it until the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital and full membership in the United Nations, and made it clear that the outcomes of the Arab summit, which was held in Algeria, would be a tool to achieve this goal.

The President of the Council concluded his speech by inviting the participants to continue the tide of solidarity with the peoples of Syria and Turkey until they overcome the effects of the disaster that befell them.
