The President of the Algerian Football Federation, Walid Sadi, explained in an interview with the Algerian News Agency that the date of December 10th has been set as the date for announcing the location of the national team’s camp that will precede the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations finals in Ivory Coast.
The same source quoted the first FAF official: “We are studying three options at the present time: Senegal, Ghana, and Equatorial Guinea. We have not yet decided on the location of the camp, but that will not exceed December 10.”
What did the national technical director ask for?
In the same context, Walid Sadi spoke about the conditions set by coach Jamal Belmadi in order to prepare well before entering the “CAN” finals.
Belmadi called for programming a maximum of two friendly matches, and Sadi elaborated on this point by saying: “We will determine the destination that will host the national team’s camp after arranging the friendly matches. We have some proposals that we are in the process of negotiating. It is possible to face teams from the fourth level.”
The team’s residence in Ivory Coast has been seized
The President of the Algerian Football Federation, Walid Sadi, insisted on traveling personally to Ivory Coast in order to complete all procedures related to choosing the place where the team will be held in the “CAN” finals.
Alfaf chose the “Stadium” Hotel adjacent to the Al Salam Stadium in Bouaké, which will host the matches of Group D, which includes the teams of Algeria, Angola, Burkina Faso and Mauritania.
Sadi commented on this decision by saying: “As I stated previously, we have reserved the entire hotel in order to place the census in comfortable conditions. One of the most important positives of the facility is its proximity to the stadium that hosts the team’s matches, in addition to the modernization process that it has recently undergone.”
He added: “We did not hesitate to secure all the financial resources available at our disposal, in order to help the team perform at the required level in the competition.”
Sadi concluded his speech by revealing the start date of the first phase of Al-Khader’s preparations, which was scheduled for the last week of December at the Sidi Moussa Center in the capital.
