The nature of the player’s injury
Medical examinations conducted by Hossam Aouar on Friday showed an injury to the adductor muscle.
The Desert Warrior will officially miss his club’s match against Bologna, scheduled to be held on the grounds of the “Renato Dallara” stadium, on Sunday, which falls within the competitions of the 16th week of the Italian League championship.
Will the player join the “Cannes” championship?
It is not possible to say with certainty whether the national team midfield star, Houssem Aouar, will be absent from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations finals in Ivory Coast or not.
It is expected that the first stage of treatment, i.e. this week, will reveal the extent of the player’s response to the rehabilitation program.
It is noteworthy that the national team will camp in the Togolese capital, Lomé, starting from January 1, 2024, until the 10th of the same month, before moving to the ivory city of Bouaké.
The Desert Warriors will play two friendly matches against Togo on January 5, then against Burundi five days later, according to what was announced by the Algerian Football Federation.
The Greens will begin their campaign in the Alcan Championship by facing Angola, at the Al Salam Stadium, next January 15th.
