On Thursday evening, the Minister of Housing, Urbanism and the City, Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, chaired a special technical meeting on the preparatory procedures for the launch of the “Edit 3” project, which focused on the real estate situation designated for the localization of this project at the level of 58 states.
The Ministry of Housing and Urbanism statement stated that the meeting was held at the headquarters of the National Housing Bank, in the presence of the central directors of the Ministry, the General Director of the National Agency for Housing Improvement and Development “Adl”, and the state directors of reconstruction, architecture and construction, in addition to the regional directors of the “Adl” Agency.
During this meeting, a comprehensive presentation was given on all real estate properties via geographical positioning technology (GPS) available in 58 states, as the “Adl” agency currently has land selection records that were delivered by the governors, as well as the process of preparing property contracts. The Ministry also explained that the field trips that were pre-programmed for these vessels allowed for determining their legal and technical status and their suitability to receive this program.

This meeting, according to the statement, comes to conclude a series of meetings held previously, taking into account the minister’s directives and instructions, foremost of which is permanent coordination with local authorities and governors and making all efforts aimed at pre-determining all real estate assets before launching the subscription process in the “Edit 3” program. .
The Ministry also considered that “this prior step is essential for the success of the process based on the experience gained in the “Edit 1” and “Edit 2” projects, where real estate assets were a concern that limited the speedy launch of the projects.”
The Ministry indicated in its statement that a second meeting will be devoted to presenting the digital platform that was developed and a presentation on the urban and engineering character of the “Edit 3” project and its technical characteristics, in addition to organizing a meeting devoted to the legal and regulatory texts guiding this program.
