The Spanish Vox party repudiates Sanchez’s decisions regarding Western Sahara – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazaeryia

A few weeks before the start of the municipal and regional elections scheduled for May 28 in Spain, the head of the Vox party, Santiago Abascal, gave an interview to the Spanish newspaper ABC, in which he dealt with several issues that are the subject of controversy among the Spanish public opinion, including the relationship of the government of Pedro Sanchez with the Moroccan warehouse, And its role in many of the vague decisions taken by the prime minister, foremost of which is the coup against the historical position of Madrid regarding the Sahrawi issue.
The head of the Vox party said: “The prime minister did not depend on anyone. He acted as he is, authoritarian before Parliament, before half of his government, before his constituents and before Spain’s historical position on Western Sahara.”
Santiago Abascal added that he did not know the reasons for this change. We will never be able to do that.”
The Fox chief said, “All we know is that the prime minister is deceiving himself and does not respect parliament or democracy, he only respects his person.”
When asked if he would demand a “return to the status quo ante” if his political formation joined the government within eight months, Santiago Abascal pledged to launch a “debate in Parliament”.
“If we change the position on Western Sahara, it will be done with the approval of the Spanish parliament, with a certain consensus and within the framework of dialogue,” he said.
He concluded his speech by saying: “It seems to me that this is a very important decision, so it cannot be taken by one person, as it happened. What we told the prime minister is that he must tell his Moroccan interlocutors that the future government is not bound by the decisions he made alone.
