Catch-up lessons during the first week of vacation

The Minister of National Education, Abdelhakim Belabed, issued instructions regarding the implementation of the pedagogical and administrative processes associated with the end of the first semester and the closing of the fiscal year, calling for using the first week of the winter break to organize remedial lessons at the level of all educational institutions.

Belabed stressed, during a national symposium via visual lecture technology, “the necessity of following up on the processes of grading the first semester tests with the students and recording the marks on the digital floor in anticipation of extracting the point lists and delivering them to the students’ parents on the open day scheduled for Thursday, December 21, 2023.”

He also urged education directors to “visit institutions on this day to find out how the process of submitting transcripts and meeting parents with teachers is going,” calling for “making use of the first week of the winter break to organize remedial lessons and support and review classes at the level of all educational institutions for the benefit of students, especially Examination department students.

Regarding the closure of the fiscal year, Belabed ordered the completion of “all operations and the liquidation of all administrative and accounting positions scheduled for the year 2023 within the deadlines set for them before the end of the year and to use the winter holiday in the maintenance process and address deficiencies.”

In the same context, the Minister stressed “not to be complacent in following up on the provision of heating and ensuring its continuity of operation by inspecting the various devices and maintaining the broken ones according to the mechanisms that have been established in this regard,” stressing “giving the necessary importance to taking care of the users’ concerns and addressing various complaints in accordance with the applicable laws.” Effectiveness and regulation in force, with the need to document it on the digital system created for this purpose.”

In the same context, Belabed ordered education directors to continue “the effort to sensitize the small remaining number of employees of the assistance services to the professional integration and social integration of certificate holders in order to benefit from the integration process, whether at the rank of education supervisor in primary schools or in other ministerial sectors within the framework of the appointed state committee.” For this purpose, before the expiry of the deadlines set for this process on December 31, 2023.”
