Boumerdes… First-year Master of Accounting students demand inclusion in the second year – Algerian Al-Hiwar

The students of the Department of First Year Master of Accounting at the University of Continuing Training, Boumerdes Center, requested that their integration into the second year be accelerated in implementation of Resolution No. 1057 of August 2, 2023, which specifies the conditions for admission and the methods of guidance and registration in university studies to obtain a master’s degree.
The students said that the decision included the right to integrate holders of a classical bachelor’s degree directly into the second year of a master’s degree, which made them demand that the administration implement this decision, similar to some universities across the country, such as the University of Larbi Ben M’hidi in Oum El Bouaghi, and the University of Chahid Hamma Lakhdar in El Oued, which confirmed the possibility of Integrating classical students into the second-year master’s level, following the meeting of the expanded university council documented in media statements on its official pages.
The student representative referred to Article 6 of the decision, which states that “holding a baccalaureate + 4 years granted by a higher education institution may be allowed to enroll in the second year of obtaining a master’s degree.”
This requires settling their situation by reintegrating them into the second-year department of the same major, as they are students registered in the first-year Master’s in Accounting department for the 2023/2024 university season, and hold a bachelor’s degree in the classical system.
