Arkab participates in Italy in the International Forum on European Strategy in the Mediterranean Region – Al-Hiwar Algeria

Minister of Energy and Mines Mohamed Arkab is participating in the third edition of the International Forum “To the South: The European Strategy for a New Geopolitical, Economic and Socio-Cultural Era in the Mediterranean Region,” which will be held under the auspices of the Italian government on May 17 and 18 in the Italian city of Sorrento, according to what he reported. Today, Thursday, a statement from the Ministry.

During this meeting, the Minister will be accompanied by a delegation consisting of the President and Director General of Sonatrach, the President and Director General of Sonelgaz, and executives from the Ministry. This was at the invitation of the European House Ambrosetti, headed by Mr. Valerio De Moli.

This edition will witness the participation of many ministers, such as the Minister of European Affairs, the South, Cohesion Policy, and the National Refugee Repatriation Program, Mr. Rafael Vito, and the Minister of the Sea and Civil Protection, Mr. Nello Mozomici, in addition to many heads of Italian and foreign companies, politicians, economists, and intellectuals, especially from the Mediterranean region, according to the same source.

This forum aims – the Ministry adds – “to create a space for exchange and consultation on growth prospects in southern Italy and the Mediterranean countries and to build a platform between the public and private sectors at the national and international levels, bringing together the best private and institutional actors and representatives of the academic world and research in the Mediterranean region.” The Mediterranean is part of the Think Thank initiative.

The third edition of the forum will also focus on the current geopolitical situation and its economic and social repercussions, food security issues, as well as the new energy vision in the south, the Mediterranean region, and Italy, according to the statement.
