Today, the Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Tayeb Zitouni, accompanied by the Governor of the state of Tindouf, Mustafa Dahou, made a field visit to inspect the construction site of the free zone and determine the logistical procedures. The border crossing project was also inspected by Mustafa Ben Boulaid.
In the first stop, the Minister focused on the logistical procedures related to the free zone, where the Minister made a presentation about the project, presented by the Director of Public Equipment, after which the senior official at the Ministry of Trade and Export Promotion, Tayeb Zitouni, reviewed the pavilions of the crossing, and all its facilities.
In this context, the Minister stressed that this project will add additional value and a real breakthrough in trade exchanges between Algeria and Mauritania, which have witnessed an increase in a short time, in addition to the free trade zone, which was announced by the President of the Republic, which will give another impetus to trade exchange with each country. Countries .
The Minister also stressed that the huge projects undertaken by the state of Tindouf would create a great dynamism that has never been witnessed in this region.
It was also the occasion to hold a coordination meeting for the project to establish the free zone in Tindouf, supervised by the Minister of Commerce, accompanied by the Governor of the state of Tindouf, Mustafa Dahou. The meeting was attended by the state directors active in this project, where instructions were given to begin preparing the technical cards and all procedures related to the project.
For reference, Minister Zitouni was accompanied by members of the Security Committee, representatives of Parliament from the state, directors concerned with the project, and the studies office charged with completing the study on the free zone.
