Zeitouine: 3,514 commercial registrations in the field of e-commerce across 53 states – Al-Hiwar Algeria

Today, Sunday, the Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Tayeb Zitouni, supervised the opening of a special symposium on the launch of the new city project of Sidi Abdallah… a model city for electronic payment.

Zitouni said: Today I am honored to participate in the work of this important and distinguished event, related to the launch of the new city project, Sidi Abdallah, a model city for electronic payment.
This project represents an important step towards achieving progress in the financial and commercial sector in our country, as technology and digital transformation have become an integral part of our world today.
The launch of this project also represents the beginning of a new era towards strengthening and developing the electronic payment sector and expanding its scope of use.

We believe in our sector that improving the user experience in electronic payment, providing multiple and secure payment options, and increasing transparency in financial operations will have a positive impact on the commercial and economic sector in our country, and will contribute to the transparency of all commercial and banking transactions.

Here it must be emphasized that our ministerial department is working to enhance the use of electronic payment methods across the entire national territory, by sensitizing merchants to the necessity of expediting their adoption, and informing the customer of the importance of these electronic commercial transactions.

The Minister added: Over the years, we have witnessed a major shift in shopping and trade habits, as technology and the Internet have become an integral part of our daily lives. Many people today have smartphones that allow them to shop online and search for the products and services they need.

E-commerce has become one of the most important areas of business and commerce in the world, and it represents the future method of trade exchange. It also works to expand the circle of the local market to new markets, which makes products of goods and services available to the largest possible number of consumers. Aware of these challenges, we encourage Our Ministerial Department: This important activity is very popular among young people and entrepreneurs from emerging institutions, as it has become an essential part of business activities at the present time.
This effort culminated in the registration of three thousand five hundred and fourteen (3514) commercial records in the field of e-commerce activity across 53 states.
If I applaud these merchants for this approach, which aims to develop the business sector in our country, I encourage them to adopt electronic payment on their platforms and electronic stores, and not to rely on traditional payment methods, and to offer this option to Algerian consumers.
In conclusion, I call on all merchants to adopt and provide electronic payment methods, to contribute to providing a comfortable and safe shopping experience for consumers.
