The national elite in the field of Greco-Roman wrestling was content with silver metal after the strong competition it faced from its Egyptian counterpart, who won nine golds out of ten weights that participated in the competition.
Nigerian wrestlers dominated women’s wrestling, winning a total of nine golds, while the national flag’s representatives won a silver and two bronze.
