Walid: Towards preparing a strategy for vocational training in line with the requirements of the labor market – Algerian Dialogue

While supervising the launch of the national sessions to reform vocational training, today, Saturday, at the International Conference Center “Abdellatif Rahal” in Algiers, in the presence of more than 1,000 participants, including actors and experts in this field, Yassine Mahdi Walid explained that the vocational training system in Algeria “constitutes a basic pillar for supporting… The labor market, which includes more than 1,200 training institutions.”

In the same context, the Minister indicated that these sessions aim to “prepare a strategy for vocational training to bring it in line with the requirements of the labor market.”

During this meeting, organized under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the participants are studying and enriching several axes related to vocational training, including adapting training to the needs of the labor market and raising the quality of training and pedagogical engineering, in addition to enhancing digitization and developing new approaches in this field. The sector as a strategic step for its development.

These themes – according to the organizers – aim to propose modern reforms that are in line with economic and technological transformations and aim to improve the employability of vocational training graduates and accelerate the digital transformation in the sector.

The agenda of this meeting also includes organizing workshops to discuss several topics related to the topic and opening a discussion about the role of vocational training in achieving economic growth and digital transformation.
