Vocational training…allocating more than 88,000 teaching seats for beneficiaries of the unemployment grant – Algerian Dialogue

More than 88,000 pedagogical seats have been allocated to the vocational training and education sector for unqualified beneficiaries of the unemployment grant in order to allow them to pursue training for the October session, as the National Employment Agency has learned.
In this regard, the Director of Labor Market Regulation and Control at the agency level, Faisal Larabi, stated, “A total of 88,000 pedagogical seats have been allocated, distributed among 887 institutions affiliated with the vocational training and education sector, for the benefit of beneficiaries, without qualification, of the unemployment grant in order to allow them to pursue training.” Professional for the October session.
The same official confirmed that the training is directed to beneficiaries without qualification, with the aim of allowing them to benefit from a job position and professional integration.
This is about building a short-term qualification (3 to 6 months) to acquire new competencies and obtain a training certificate, which thus facilitates integration into the world of work in the specializations required in the labor market.
To make this process a success, two digital platforms, “Taheel” and “Takween,” were launched by the National Employment Agency in coordination with the vocational training sector in order to ensure the guidance and appointment of those concerned, as well as to strengthen follow-up and accompaniment.
He also added that the “opinion polling platform” was also launched last summer in order to “identify the specializations desired by the beneficiaries of the unemployment grant,” adding that 11,590 unqualified beneficiaries participated in the polling process.
He explained that more than 100,000 beneficiaries of the unemployment grant have completed their training during the last two vocational training courses, i.e. the October 2022 and February 2023 courses.
