Toll: 12 members of support for terrorist groups were arrested and 7 quintals and 44 kg of Moroccan kif were seized – Algerian Dialogue

Detachments of the People’s National Army arrested 12 members of support for terrorist groups and 93 drug traffickers, in separate operations during the period from 08 to 14 November.

During this period, units of the People’s National Army carried out operations that produced qualitative results that reflect the extent of high professionalism, constant vigilance and readiness, according to a statement by the Ministry of National Defense.

Within the framework of combating organized crime and continuing the tireless efforts aimed at confronting the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, joint detachments of the People’s National Army, in coordination with various security services during operations across the military regions, arrested (93) drug dealers.

Attempts to bring (07) quintals and (44) kilograms of processed kif across the border with Morocco were thwarted, while (6,182) kilograms of cocaine and (214,028) hallucinogenic tablets were seized.

In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Guezam, and In Saleh, army detachments arrested (125) people, and seized (33) vehicles, (91) electric generators, (55) hammers, and (244) quintals of raw gold and stones.

In addition to quantities of explosives, blasting equipment, and equipment used in illegal gold prospecting operations, while (38) other people were arrested, and (26) hunting rifles, (37,266) liters of fuel, and (33.5) tons of targeted foodstuffs were seized. For smuggling and speculation, (30) quintals of tobacco and (20,950) units of various drinks, and this was during separate operations across the national territory.

On the other hand, coast guards thwarted illegal immigration attempts on our national coasts and rescued (214) people on board traditional-made boats, while (326) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
