The Venezuelan President renews his country’s unwavering support for the struggle of the Sahrawi people to gain their independence – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazaeryia

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro reaffirmed the continuous and permanent support for the Sahrawi people and their only legitimate representative, the Polisario Front, by the Bolivarian government, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Saguia El Hamra and Valley of Gold.

And the Sahrawi Press Agency reported that the President of the Republic of Western Sahara, Ibrahim Ghali, had received a congratulatory message from his Venezuelan counterpart, Nicolas Maduro, on the same occasion.

In his message, the Venezuelan president said that the Saharawi people, and their only legitimate representative, the Polisario Front, will enjoy the continuous and permanent support of the Venezuelan Bolivarian government, adding that the matter is “an extension of what we did last March, to present to your Excellency the Medal of Liberators of the First Class and a copy of the victorious sword.”

Maduro also stressed that the issue of the Sahrawi people is “a Bolivarian issue par excellence, because of its common bonds of courage, daring, and the fight against imperialist regimes.”

He continued, “The relationship of the Venezuelan Bolivarian Republic with the SADR is a historical relationship and a deep commitment by the eternal leader, Hugo Chavez.”

It is noteworthy that Nicolás Maduro has stated, on several occasions, his complete readiness for joint action between the Venezuelan government and the Sahrawi government, in order to achieve lofty goals for the common interests of the two countries to achieve security and lasting peace.
