The representative of Hamas in Algeria, Youssef Hamdan, confirmed that the movement had reached a truce with the Zionist occupation through Qatari-Egyptian-American mediation.
Hamdan said in statements to the dialogue that the agreement is based on stopping the aggression against the Palestinian people, opening the crossings and bringing in humanitarian aid. The agreement is chronic and can be extended, and according to it the exchange of prisoners will take place.
Hamdan added that the agreement is evidence of the failure of the Zionist occupation and its partners in its war against the Palestinian people. The agreement is also evidence of the failure of the occupation to end the movement and remove it from the land. He added that the Zionist project to displace the Palestinian people has failed, stressing that the Zionist enemy will not reside on the land.

Youssef Hamdan reported that there is a limited exchange deal related to civilian women and children from the Palestinian and Zionist parties in batches, noting that this agreement is temporary but also subject to extension.
Regarding the timing of the entry into force of the agreement in the Hamas movement, the spokesman says that the timing of the entry into force of this truce has not yet been agreed upon, and this detailed issue will be resolved in the coming hours.”
The representative of the Hamas movement pointed out that this agreement indicates the failure of the occupation and its partners to remove the Hamas movement, stressing that all attempts to end the movement and remove it from the political scene as a political and military force on the ground have failed.
Youssef Hamdan said, “The Hamas movement pays tribute to the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, and affirms that the Zionist enemy has no place on our land and that we will continue to resist and will not rest until we see Jerusalem liberated.” He added that the priority today is to open the crossing and stop the fighting – which may turn into a final agreement to exchange prisoners, stressing the opening of the crossings and stopping all forms of bombing of civilians, stressing that the two parties have not yet agreed on the timing of the entry into force of this agreement.
