The religious affairs sector is a “protective bulwark for the country”

The Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Youssef Belmehdi, who on Saturday made a working and inspection visit to the state of Oum El Bouaghi, confirmed that Kattaa is a “protective fortress and a protective shield for the country.”

The Minister said, in a speech he delivered during his supervision of a training study day at the Islamic Cultural Center “Masoudi Abbas,” entitled “Civilizational Values ​​in the Noble Prophet’s Sunnah,” attended by employees of the Religious Affairs and Endowments Sector: “We value the decisions of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in the last Council of Ministers.” Which will increase the development and improvement of the religious affairs and endowments sector, make it stronger in its mission, and make it one of the initiators to be a protective shield and fortress for our country.”

In this context, Belmehdi highlighted that one of the tasks of the religious affairs and endowments sector is “to protect individuals from decadence, deviation, and all the conspiracies and plans that seek to drown Algeria.”

The minister also stressed the role of the imam “to stand on the lookout and confront those who want to plunge the country into strife, backwardness, and the use of hallucinogens and drugs, and those who seek to attack national unity and moral values.”

After he touched in his speech on the morals and virtues of the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the values ​​of tolerance and cultural advancement that he founded, the minister said: “The imam’s weapon is knowledge, reason, and the values ​​that he transmits through his speeches.”

Belmahdi began his visit to Oum El Bouaghi with the inauguration of the “Abu Bakr Al Siddiq” Mosque in the state capital, where he highlighted the importance of rationalizing expenditures in building mosques, before supervising the laying of the foundation stone for the project to build the “Namra” Mosque in the municipality of Ain El Bayda. The Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments continued his visit to the state of Oum El Bouaghi by inspecting projects affiliated with his sector and inaugurating two mosques in the municipalities of Ain Karcha and Siqus.
