The name of the Italian club Milan’s midfielder, the Frenchman of Algerian origin, Yassine Adly, was brought up on the table of topics discussed by the national media in his meeting with the new Greens coach, Vladimir Petkovic, on Monday.
The Bosnian, who was appointed head of the first team, on Monday morning, supervised the graduate of the French academy of Paris Saint-Germain, when he took over the task of coaching the French club Brodo two years ago, where he knows his technical capabilities well.
Petkovic postponed the issue of resolving Adly’s file to future dates, and merely said: “I know Yassin Adly personally. We will see if he will join us. In the end, in order for any marriage to be successful, there must be a factor of acceptance from both sides.”
The former national team coach, Djamel Belmadi, tried to convince Adly to change his sporting nationality during the same period in which he was negotiating with Houssem Aouar, but he chose at that time to focus on his club.
Adly found it very difficult to gain the trust of Milan coach Stefano Pioli last season, before things changed after that, as he became one of the best elements of the Lombard team in the recent period.
He joined Algerian star Ismail Bennacer in the defensive midfield, who returned from injury at the end of last year.
Yassin recorded his presence in 23 matches with Milan in various competitions this season, including 15 matches within the starting lineup, during which he was able to score one goal in the Italian League championship against Roma.
The French newspaper “L’Equipe” reported that the former Bordeaux midfielder is not currently thinking about joining the Algerian national team, but rather is waiting for the opportunity to carry the colors of the French national team, which has been included in its various categories, the most recent of which is the under-20 category.
Adly’s last international participation with the Roosters national team in the same category dates back to 2019, when he participated in the friendly match in which France beat Sweden 1-0.
