The statement said: “In accordance with the issuance of Presidential Decree No. 24-182 dated June 8, 2024, which includes summoning the electoral body to hold pre-presidential elections on Saturday, September 7, 2024, those wishing to run or their representatives can either apply directly to the headquarters of the independent authority, attaching the supporting documents.” – A letter expressing intent to run addressed to the head of the Independent National Elections Authority, a receipt for the deposit of sponsorship, a recent photograph, a copy of the national ID card, and an authorization for the representative of the person wishing to run.

The authority added that an appointment can be made to withdraw individual signature forms by accessing the independent authority’s services platform via the following link: https://rdv2024.ina-elections.dz

The independent authority reminded that, based on the provisions of Article 250 of Order 21-01 mentioned above, those wishing to run must deposit a guarantee estimated at 250,000 dinars with the public treasury departments located throughout the entire national territory.

The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, signed a presidential decree summoning the electoral college to hold advance presidential elections on Saturday, September 7, 2024.

Based on the Constitution, especially Articles 85 and 91, paragraphs 7, 10, and 11, and Articles 62, paragraph 2 and 246 of Order No. 21-01 dated 26 Rajab 1442 AH corresponding to March 10, 2021, which includes the organic law related to the electoral system, amended and supplemented, The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, signed Presidential Decree No. 182-24 of Dhu al-Hijjah 2, 1445 AH, corresponding to June 8, 2024, summoning the Electoral College to hold advance presidential elections on Saturday, September 7, 2024.

The same presidential decree also included the commencement of the extraordinary review of electoral lists, starting on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, and concluding on Thursday, June 27, 2024.
