The Prime Minister inaugurates the 22nd International Tourism and Travel Salon – Algerian Dialogue


Today, Thursday, Prime Minister Ayman bin Abdul Rahman supervised the opening of the 22nd International Tourism and Travel Salon, which will continue until next Sunday at the Maritime Pines Exhibition Palace in the capital.

Sector institutions, tourism and travel agencies, tourism dealers, public and private hotel institutions, craftsmen, and service institutions such as banks, insurance, and transportation…

By the way, the Prime Minister stressed that tourism in Algeria “is witnessing a qualitative shift” that must be promoted, noting that the number of foreign tourists who visited Algeria during this year exceeded 1.6 million tourists.

Regarding the tourism services provided by Algeria, Ayman Ben Abdel Rahman said, “We won the quality bet.” And services, but only partially,” he explained, explaining that Algeria has 249 tourism development areas.

The Prime Minister also confirmed that the government has approved more than 73 plans for tourism development, stressing the need to encourage investors in the field of tourism because the various states of the country have all the qualifications to advance the sector.

It is noteworthy that 250 exhibitors, including 30 foreigners, are participating in the 22nd edition of the International Travel and Tourism Salon, and it is considered one of the most important tourism events organized in Algeria and a good opportunity to promote the Algerian tourist destination, especially since this year it coincides with the start of the desert tourism season, which extends from October until May.
