The President of the Republic ends a state visit to the Algerian Federation of Russia – Al-Hiwar

On Saturday, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune left Moscow to return to the homeland, after a state visit to the Russian Federation, which he embarked on last Tuesday at the invitation of his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.

This important historical visit, which confirmed the strength of relations between the two countries, was marked by the intense activity of President Tebboune.

During this visit, the President of the Republic was singled out for an official reception by his Russian counterpart at the Kremlin Palace, before the two presidents held talks, which later expanded to include the delegations of the two countries.

After these talks and in a joint statement with his Russian counterpart, the President of the Republic thanked the latter for the confidence he placed in himself and in Algeria to mediate between the Russian Federation and Ukraine.

The presidents of the two countries also signed the declaration of the in-depth strategic partnership between Algeria and the Russian Federation, and supervised the signing ceremony of several agreements, memorandums of understanding and work programs between the governments of the two countries.

Within the framework of this visit, in which he was accompanied by an important ministerial delegation, President Tebboune oversaw the inauguration of the Algerian-Russian Economic Forum, in which 70 Algerian economic operators and 200 Russian businessmen participated, in which he confirmed that Algeria had embarked on a multidimensional economic recovery program and made it a year 2023, the year of economic recovery.

He also supervised the inauguration of the monument to the founder of the modern Algerian state, Emir Abdelkader, in the center of the capital, Moscow.

On the occasion of this visit, which allowed for the deepening of historical and strategic relations between the two countries, President Tebboune held talks with senior officials in the Russian Federation, and awarded Mr. Andrei Pavlenko, the National Order of Merit, 1st degree, in appreciation of his contribution to clearing thousands of mines laid by the French occupier across the borders of Algeria during the liberation revolution. glorious, he also met with representatives of the national community residing in the Russian Federation.

On the last day of this visit, the President of the Republic participated, as a guest of honor, in the work of the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg, Russia.
