The President of the Italian Council of State praises the distinguished partnership between his country and Algeria – Algerian Dialogue

Italian President of the Council of State, Luigi Mariotti, praised, on Sunday in Algiers, the “deep” friendly relations that link his country with Algeria and the “distinguished” level of partnership that unites them.
In his statement after he and the delegation accompanying him were received by the Minister of Relations with Parliament, Basma Azwar, at the Ministry’s headquarters, Mr. Mariotti explained that “Algeria and Italy have a deep relationship of friendship,” and that the two countries share the Mediterranean basin and are linked by common denominators.
In the same context, he stressed that “Algeria’s position with respect to Italy is very important in creating balances on many issues.”
When he touched on the twinning project between the Ministry of Relations with Parliament and the Italian Council of State, he highlighted “the important results reached by the two parties through the twinning program and the fruitful discussions, even for the Italian side.”
For her part, Mrs. Azwar explained that this meeting “came within the framework of the conclusion of the institutional twinning project between the Ministry and the Italian Council of State, which is entitled “Strengthening the capabilities of the Ministry of Relations with Parliament,” noting that this project, which was supported by the European Union program, “enabled the formation of several frameworks.” Algeria at the level of legislation, and it also resulted in several visits by officials from the ministry to Italy to learn about its legislative system.”
In the same context, the Minister praised the “success” of this project, expressing her hope that consultations between the two parties will continue in the future.
It is noteworthy that the President of the Italian Council of State was accompanied by the Secretary-General of the Council, Julio Castriota Skanderbeg, and the Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the Council of State, Marcello Apicella.
