His Excellency the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, received in his office in the capital, Islamabad, the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars, His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, who is currently visiting Pakistan, in response to an official invitation from his country.
The meeting discussed a number of topics in the Islamic arena, as His Excellency the President praised the Association’s efforts in this field, especially its initiatives in gathering the word of scholars, the most recent of which was the international conference: “Building Bridges Between Islamic Sects,” which was hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with generous sponsorship. From the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, continuing in this context, emphasizing that Pakistan attaches utmost importance to its strong fraternal relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which are rooted in common faith and common Islamic values.
His country praised the prominent efforts of the International Association in clarifying the facts of Islam and confronting the practices and discourses of Islamophobia, expressing his appreciation for the efforts of the Association in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in various fields related to the Association’s mission, and stressing Pakistan’s continued support for the Association in all its efforts, inside and outside Pakistan.
