The outcome of the intervention of civil protection units (during the last 48 hours) – New Algeria

Today, Saturday, the Civil Protection Services revealed in a statement the outcome of their interventions during the period extending from December 26 to 28. 2024.

According to the same departments, civil protection units recorded 5405 interventions (01 intervention every 31 seconds), including 3392 health evacuations and 840 different operations, across several states of the country, and this was as a result of receiving distress calls from citizens. These interventions included various areas of civil protection activities. Whether related to traffic accidents, home accidents, health evacuation, fire suppression, as well as security services.

In the context of traffic accidents, civil protection units carried out 468 interventions following accidents recorded across several states. These accidents left 7 people dead and 461 others injured with various injuries. The victims were taken care of at the scene of the accidents and transferred to local hospitals by civil protection personnel. The heaviest death toll recorded in the state of Adrar was 02 people killed and 9 others injured as a result of a collision between 03 cars on the road called Kasr Touki in the town. I was fooled.

Civil Protection also intervened to provide first aid to 49 people who were poisoned after inhaling carbon monoxide gas emitted from heating devices and water heaters inside their homes across the states of Oran with 10 people, M’Sila with 07 people, Batna with 05 people, and Tiaret with 04 people. People, El Bayadh for 4 people, Ain Defla for 3 people, Tizi Ouzou for 2 people, and Souk. Ahras 01 people, the victims were taken care of on the spot and transferred in stable condition to local hospitals. For your information, the death of two (02) people was recorded, the first of whom was 49 years old, poisoned by carbon monoxide emitted from a tabouna stove in the family residence located in the Bukhamira neighborhood of the municipality of Al-Buni. Annaba Province, the second deceased victim. It concerns a 16-year-old teenager who was poisoned by carbon monoxide gas emitted from the exhaust of a car parked inside a residential garage with the engine running. He works in the Mujahideen neighborhood in the municipality of Barika, Batna state. The deceased victims were transferred to the local hospital.

Also, our units intervened in the state of Djelfa, following incidents of explosions of butane gas bottles. The first incident was recorded in the neighborhood of July 5, 1962, in the municipality of Djelfa. A gas bottle exploded in the kitchen of a house, leaving 1 person injured. The second incident occurred in the Ben Tiba neighborhood in the municipality of Djelfa, following the explosion of a gas bottle in a residence. It consists of 03 floors, leaving 07 people injured. The third accident was recorded in a chaotic residence in the place called Al-Zaria, after a gas bottle exploded, leaving a person with second-degree burns. The victims were treated on the spot and then transferred to the local hospital.

For your information, the civil protection elements of the state of Touqourt intervened following an accident where the roof of an old house collapsed, in the Sidi Moussa neighborhood in the municipality of Tebesbest, leaving 04 people injured. They were provided with the necessary first aid and then transferred to the local hospital.
