The Nigerien government accepts the mediation of President Tebboune for a political solution to the crisis – Algerian Dialogue

The Nigerien government accepted Algerian mediation aimed at developing a political solution to the existing crisis in this brotherly country, within the framework of the initiative presented by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: The Algerian government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Niger, received an official correspondence stating the acceptance of Algerian mediation aimed at developing a political solution to the existing crisis in this brotherly country, within the framework of the initiative presented by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
This acceptance of the Algerian initiative strengthens the option of a political solution to the crisis in Niger and opens the way for providing the necessary conditions that would facilitate the end of this crisis by peaceful means, in a way that preserves the interests of Niger and the entire region.
After taking note of this acceptance, the President of the Republic instructed the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, to go to Niamey as soon as possible, with the aim of initiating preparatory discussions with all concerned parties on ways to activate the Algerian initiative.
