The National Gendarmerie in Ouargla seizes a significant amount of chickpeas that were destined for speculation – Algerian Dialogue

46 bags of chickpeas, with a capacity of 25 kg, were seized, with a total weight of 11.5 quintals, and a sum of money amounting to 12.4 million centimes, in addition to the truck used for transportation.
Five (05) people involved were arrested, and as a result, a judicial file was prepared for the felony of speculation in grains, their derivatives, and dry legumes, the misdemeanor of embezzlement of public funds, and the misdemeanor of abusing one’s position in a manner that violates laws and regulations to obtain undeserved benefits. Those involved will be brought before Mr. Regional Representative of the Republic.
