The National Gendarmerie arrests five people on charges of forming an evil group – New Algeria

The Regional Division of the National Gendarmerie in Hassani Abdel Karim was able to arrest five people, including a woman, involved in more than six cases across the various municipalities of El Oued State.

The case relates to the felony of forming a group of evildoers for the purpose of preparing a felony, the felony of theft under multiple circumstances, bringing a means of transportation, as well as the use of violence using cold weapons or threatening to use them/the felony of concealing stolen items obtained from a felony. Where has an end been put to this network that assaults citizens on the roads? By targeting victims, luring them and exploiting their need for transportation, especially at times when traffic and means of transportation are few.

Members of this network transport their victims to various municipalities, starting from the city of El Oued, for a small sum of money, through bypass routes far from security control points, and assault them and rob them of their property, under the threat of using cold weapons.
The effective intelligence work carried out by the Regional Division of the National Gendarmerie in Hassani Abdel Karim made it possible to determine the identity of the members of the network and their whereabouts. A precise plan was prepared that enabled them to be monitored and arrested, along with the seizure of the vehicle used in the crime.
Once the investigation is completed, the five suspects will be presented before the competent judicial authorities.
