The National Assembly issues an important statement about what is happening in Palestine – Al-Hiwar Algeria

The National Assembly expressed deep concern and denunciation regarding the dangerous escalation of Zionist attacks on the brave Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. The Council considered that this brutal aggression had made the Gaza Strip a scene of shameful international humiliation in the face of increasing colonial arrogance.

The National Assembly expressed its deep annoyance at the continued international hypocrisy in dealing with the just Palestinian cause, indicating that it applies double standards in dealing with this important issue.

The Council pointed to intentional procrastination, blatant bias, and the shameful justification for Zionist crimes against humanity.

For its part, the National Assembly Office expressed its appreciation and support for the steadfastness, cohesion and unity of the Palestinian people in their confrontation with systematic Zionist settlement, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities towards the Palestinian people and empower them with their legitimate right to establish their independent state on the 1967 borders with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.

The National Assembly Office also called on the UN bodies, led by the UN Security Council, to work to enforce respect for UN charters, the principles of international law and the provisions of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, in order to put an end to the Zionist occupier’s contempt for international legitimacy.

At the conclusion of its statement, the National Assembly called on the world’s parliamentarians to support the Palestinian people, express solidarity with them, and defend their just cause in all regional and international parliamentary forums, with the aim of achieving the noble goals of parliamentary diplomacy and ending this unjust conflict.
