The Ministry of Health issued important recommendations to hospitals across the country regarding circumcision.

The ministry’s statement said: “Many Algerian families prefer to circumcise their children during the month of Ramadan, especially during the last ten days of the holy month, when such operations abound at the level of public institutions and private clinics.”
Therefore, the Ministry of Health reminds hospitals that the applicable regulation requires the following procedures:
Performing the circumcision in a hospital setting equipped with various health conditions, and performed by a doctor specializing in surgery.
Carrying out medical analyzes for the concerned children before performing the circumcision.
The Ministry of Health states that adherence to the applicable regulations will ensure the safety of our children.
