The Minister of Industry receives a delegation from the Chinese group “JAC” and “EMIN AUTO” – Algerian Dialogue

The Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, Aoun, received this Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at the Ministry’s headquarters, a delegation from the Chinese group “JAC” and the “EMIN AUTO” company, headed by Mr. Gao Wenxing, General Director of the Africa and Middle East region of the JAC, and Mr. Sahsovarglo Nihat, the company’s manager. Omen Otto is the authorized agent of the Chinese brand JAC in Algeria.

This meeting falls within the framework of following up on the issue of importing and manufacturing cars of the “JAC” brand in Algeria, as it allowed for studying the progress of the project to manufacture tourist and utility cars of the “JAC” brand in the state of Ain Temouchent, within the framework of a partnership between the Chinese group “JAC” and the “OMIN” company. Otto.”

By the way, company representatives indicated that the completion of the project is making significant progress, especially with regard to the structures that will house the necessary equipment for car production with an integration rate exceeding 30% and a total capacity estimated at 100,000 cars annually, when the factory enters into full exploitation, of which 40% will be directed. From production to export.

The talks also centered on the plan to import cars of this brand for the year 2023-2024, part of which will be marketed before the end of the current year, after completing all procedures related to the import process.

For his part, the Minister reiterated the support and permanent accompaniment of the Ministry’s interests to automobile manufacturing projects, calling on representatives of the “JAC” brand to respect all their obligations, and to accelerate the process of importing and manufacturing cars, to meet the demand of citizens, and to benefit the economic and industrial development of the country.
