The Mediterranean Parliament awards President Tebboune the Excellence Award – New Algeria

During which substantive discussions will be reviewed on the work accomplished by the three permanent committees of this important regional parliamentary body, on political and security cooperation, economic, social and environmental cooperation, as well as on the dialogue of civilizations and human rights.
The Mediterranean Parliament presented the “Excellence for the Mediterranean” award to: president The Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received it on his behalf, His Excellency the Ambassador of Algeria to Portugal, Mr. Chakib Rachid Kayed, in recognition of the humanitarian solidarity role and medical assistance that Algeria provided to sister Tunisia, within the framework of combating the repercussions of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The award is a symbolic and moral encouragement and recognition that is granted annually, and is given in honor of the creative talents and initiatives of the governments of the member Mediterranean countries, which serve the issues of the peoples of the region and contribute to the advancement and prosperity of the countries of the Mediterranean Basin.
The organization also presented another award to the Civil Protection Agency The algerianIn recognition of the role played by civil protection teams in rescue operations after the earthquake that struck the Gaziantep region in southern Turkey and northern Syria, as well as rescue operations after the Derna floods in Libya.
