The launch of the process of exporting a shipment of fiberglass pipes to Libya – Al-Hiwar Algeria
Yesterday, Sunday, the industrial zone in the city of M’sila signaled the start of the process of exporting a shipment estimated at 1,000 meters of fiberglass pipes produced by the “Maghreb Pipe” Foundation to Libya.
The local director of industry, Abdel Aziz Harouz, explained to the Algerian News Agency that this process falls within the framework of the state’s strategy related to diversifying investment outside hydrocarbons, and concerns 1,000 meters of fiberglass pipes destined for sewage canal construction projects.
He added that the same production unit had previously exported a first shipment of 1,000 meters of fiberglass pipes on November 9 to Libya, highlighting that these two operations fall within the framework of a deal aimed at exporting 25 kilometers of these pipes in stages.
For his part, Mr. Ibrahim Baali, representative of the manufacturing company “Maghreb Pipe”, confirmed that the production of fiberglass pipes has witnessed great progress during the past few years in this production unit, which relies on 100 percent local labor and expertise, stressing that the same institution is taking up the challenge. Diversifying and developing production to conclude other export deals abroad, especially the African market.
