On Saturday, the work of the 11th Congress of the National Liberation Front opened, amid participation described as record, with more than 6,000 delegates from various states and representatives of the national community abroad. The conference will announce the name of the party’s Secretary-General, Khalifa Abu al-Fadl Baaji, who officially announced that he will not run again.
This comes at a time when the conference began, where the Secretary-General of the party, Abu Al-Fadl Baaji, began with the opening speech, where he extended his welcome to the representatives of parliament in both chambers from the established party, and all those present, including officials, representatives, and executives of the party, praising the success of Zahoor and Nissi, who was honored by the Foundation. The discussion of the eleventh conference will continue for three consecutive days, during which the list of the Central Committee and the agenda that was officially approved during the opening will be presented.
On the first day of the eleventh conference, the Secretary-General will begin to review the results of the outgoing Secretary-General, Abu Al-Fadl Baajji, during the past three years, presenting the list of members and the conference’s bylaws and the provisions of the party’s bylaws, and the office proposed approving the party’s bylaws for approval.
It is also expected that during the current conference, the party’s long-standing leader, Abdul Karim bin Mubarak, will be recommended for the position of Secretary-General, according to the echoes of the conference.
The Secretary-General of the National Liberation Front Party, Abu al-Fadl Baaji, announced that he would not run for the party’s secretariat, during a meeting with the heads of the transitional committees of the governorates, where he gave instructions regarding the conduct of the party’s 11th conference in the Abdellatif Rahal conference hall in Algiers.
The decision not to nominate him for the party secretariat, out of his conviction of the necessity of deliberation, came after 3 and a half years, during which he headed the party’s secretariat, during which the party was known for its leadership in the various elections in which it participated.
According to the initial echoes drawn from the vicinity of the eleventh conference of the future party, the former governor of Bouzareah province, Abdel Karim Ben Mubarak, is heading to the successor of the outgoing Secretary-General, Abu al-Fadl Baajji, to take over the General Secretariat of the old party.
