The interests of the National Gendarmerie reveal a staggering outcome for the year 2022 – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazaeryia

During the year 2022, the National Gendarmerie carried out 8,059 raids and arrested 7,503 people in question, while seizing 43 tons of kif, 35 kg of cocaine, 94 grams of heroin, and 7 million active pills.

Today, Tuesday, the National Gendarmerie Command revealed the results of the activities of its units for the year 2022, revealing the seizure of an amount worth 249,328,945 dinars as proceeds of illegal speculation for widely consumed materials, adding that the value was known to increase by 84 percent, and the number of those involved increased by 100 percent.

And the same interests reported that the outcome of combating fraudulent commercial practices amounted to 162 cases involving 223 people, with a total value of 19,707,860 dinars, and it also recorded a 13 percent increase in vehicle theft, as it recovered 29 percent of the stolen cars, and arrested 13 percent of the people.

The results of the National Gendarmerie revealed that it carried out 1,723 patrols, 221 sensitization meetings, examined 125 cases, and retrieved 4,079 artifacts.

The year 2022 witnessed an increase in criminal offenses by 56 percent, while the number of persons under investigation increased by 46 percent compared to 2021. During the same period, the National Gendarmerie seized 1,148 tons of foodstuffs, one and a half million fuel, 85,000 bottles of alcoholic beverages and 1,730 vehicles, and this is within the framework of Fighting smuggling across national borders.

As for the phenomenon of illegal immigration, the owners of the “green uniform” carried out 2,159 cases, arrested 9,450 people, and dismantled 13 networks specialized in human smuggling.

In the same context, the director of the formed units in the National Gendarmerie Command, Colonel Chibani Mohamed, revealed the collection of 3,683,704,000 Algerian dinars as a result of fines for the benefit of the public treasury.

The same interests confirmed that the new traffic law is being discussed these days at the level of the General Secretariat of the Government.
