The first professional league championship: The leaders deepen the gap – Al-Akhbariya

The tenth round of the First Professional League Championship served the interests of the leader, Mouloudia Algiers, after it managed to expand the gap over its closest rivals to nine points.

The capital club recorded its ninth victory in the competition this season, on Saturday, when it received Ittihad Khenchela at the July 5, 1962 stadium in the capital.

Striker Zakaria Naeji was the only one to score Mouloudia’s goals, which amounted to three goals in the 8th, 49th and 80th minutes of the match.

“Derby” capital confirmation match

A week later, French coach Patrice Baumel’s team will be ready to play one of its most important matches this season, when it faces its traditional rival, Ittihad Al-Capital Club, in the 11th round of the First Professional League Championship.

The Professional League postponed the match to December 25, so that the Federation could prepare for the match, especially since it would be concerned before this date with the African Confederation Cup match.

Mouloudia Algiers supporters attach great importance to this match, because of its historical character, as the confrontation is more anticipated by the capital city fans in particular and the national fans in general in every season.

The South-Western representative overthrew the Najm Maqra Club, on its home field, August 20, 1955, in Bechar, on Saturday, with a score of 2-1, scored by Abdel Jalil Saed (40 minutes) and Abdel Haq Abdel Hafeez in the 95th minute from a penalty kick.

The team’s returning coach, Tunisian Nassif El Biaoui, has caused a revolution since assuming his duties at the end of November.

He led them to achieve three victories and a draw in the four matches that he supervised, to snatch second place in the standings from Athletic Club Paradou, which imposed a draw on its host Club Olympique Chlef at Mohamed Boumezrag Stadium, with a goal to match.
