In a speech while supervising the opening of a national forum on “Interim Evaluation of Digital Transformation in the National Education Sector,” Mr. Belabed affirmed that the Ministry is working to “continue digital transformation with deeper integration and adoption of future technologies,” such as virtual reality and the use of artificial intelligence, revealing By the way, his sector is currently working on “embodying 10 projects, which are under implementation, before the end of next June.”
The matter relates – the Minister adds – in particular to “digitizing the registration of 6-year-old children in the first year of primary school remotely, including counting children who have not enrolled in school using interconnection with the Ministry of Interior, Local Communities and Urban Development, digitizing guidance and redirection of students, digitizing accreditation procedures.” Private schools, and the establishment of the virtual international school that aims to preserve the elements of national identity abroad, as well as a system to help make decisions and notify parents of their children’s absence and their results.”

He stressed that the process is being carried out with the accompaniment of institutional partners, led by the High Governorate for Digitization, which is responsible for designing the national strategy for digitization in consultation with the relevant sectors, the economic sector and civil society, while ensuring the follow-up of the implementation of this strategy to achieve digital sovereignty.
The Minister also pointed out, on the other hand, that the Ministry adopted the “participatory approach” in this forum, by involving institutional and social partners, stressing that the goal of this is “to present their suggestions and observations to introduce the necessary corrections to improve the sector’s digital services through its information system and then be the subject of study and discussion.” “In sessions programmed for this purpose.”
For reference, this forum, which was attended by the Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Karim Bibi Triki, as well as the High Governor of Digitization, Mrs. Meriem Ben Mouloud, and the Advisor to the President of the Republic in charge of Education, Higher Education, Vocational Training and Culture, Mr. Mohamed Al-Saghir Saadawi, was an opportunity to sign two agreements between the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Post and Transportation. Wired and wireless services are represented by Algeria Telecom, through which educational institutions will benefit from reductions in tariffs related to the Internet connection service applied by Algeria Telecom, in addition to other privileges that will be granted to the same institutions, such as benefiting from a fixed IP address and an institutional email.
