The Danish Foreign Minister from Blida: We look forward to strengthening partnerships with Algeria – Algerian Dialogue

The Danish Minister touched on the most prominent sectors that are of interest to his country with a view to embodying partnerships with the Algerian side, which are the pharmaceutical industries due to the Danish side’s mastery of this field – according to him – in addition to the food industries and renewable energies that Algeria has thanks to its geographical location.
He added that the “success” of the Algerian-Danish partnership experience resulted in the establishment of an insulin pen assembly factory in Boufarik, which entered the production stage in January 2023, which is a factor that encourages the activation of new investment partnerships in other fields.
In this regard, Rasmussen expressed his “pride” in the results achieved by the “Novo Nordisk” factory, which specializes in the assembly of insulin pens, praising the level of tires and Algerian workers working in this factory, whose products conform to international quality standards.
In turn, the General Director of this factory, Malika Dergal, confirmed that this institution, whose annual production capacity exceeds 55 million insulin pens, “will be able next year to cover the needs of the national market by 99 percent, so that it will move in the future to export its products to African and European countries,” pointing out that Algeria has stopped importing this type of pen intended for diabetics since this factory entered the production stage.
For reference, Algeria will host, for the first time, from Monday until this Wednesday, the 20th session of the African-Nordic Foreign Ministers’ Meeting under the slogan “Africa-Nordic Countries: Strengthening Dialogue on the Foundations of Common Values” with the participation of about twenty foreign ministers, in addition to deputies.
