An Algerian Air Force plane carrying members of the Algerian community residing in Sudan arrived today, Tuesday evening.
The plane that undertook the evacuation operation belonged to the Algerian Air Force, and the operation came in implementation of the instructions of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in the wake of the crisis in Sudan.
The operation is the first, and it started today and ended with the evacuation of 94 Algerian citizens residing in Sudan, in addition to citizens from Palestine and Syria.
As the Algerian embassy staff members in Khartoum are also during the same trip, the authorities will take upon themselves the costs of the citizens’ accommodation and transportation to their homes.
120 Algerian citizens is the total number of Algerian nationals residing in Sudan.
Upon their arrival at Algiers International Airport, these nationals were received by the Minister of the Interior, Local Communities and Urban Planning, Ibrahim Mourad, as well as the Minister of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Issues, Kawthar Krikou.
