The head of the National People’s Assembly, Ibrahim Boughali, affirmed that the Algerian nation seeks knowledge to rebuild the land, not to destroy it, highlighting that Algeria needs all its people active in all fields to build and prosper the nation.
Boghali explained, in a speech delivered on his behalf by the head of the Bureau, Muhammad Abi Ismail, during a graduation ceremony for the second batch of students at the Higher Institute of Sciences in the bachelor’s degree, on Tuesday, according to the council’s statement, that the material progress the world has achieved has exceeded the limits of what was expected, but it was Marred by deviation on the moral and ethical levels, which has plunged humanity into endless conflicts and disputes.
The President of the Council highlighted that the moral delinquency of the developed world was manifested in harnessing material progress to harm man himself by using force, seizing and confiscating rights, and imposing the logic of the victorious on the vanquished and the strong on the weak.
The same speaker added that this situation calls for reminding young people and students that the Algerian nation seeks science and technology to rebuild the earth, not to destroy it, for the well-being of mankind, and for goodness, justice, and virtue to prevail.
The President of the Council also highlighted that the university, in this regard, is the leader of the desired transformation in accordance with the vision and commitments of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, adding that the real bet is on the occupants of the classrooms and auditoriums, and the visitors of the research, innovation and creativity laboratories.
Boughali added that these values are the ones on which Algerian civilization was built, and which were passed down through generations, and on which the revolution was also based and its literature preserved it.
The President of the Council stressed that Algeria needs all its people active in all fields, areas and sectors, especially the higher education sector, which is concerned with building the individual who can be relied upon to build and prosper the nation.
It is noteworthy that this ceremony was also attended by the National People’s Assembly, Omar Muammar, Chairman of the Committee for Education, Higher Education, Scientific Research and Religious Affairs, along with members of the Committee’s office.
