The Algerian Judicial Council.. The start of the appeal session in the case of the National Maritime Transport Company for Passengers – Al-Hiwar Algeria

Today, Sunday afternoon, the Algerian Judicial Council started the appeal session in the case of the defendants in the corruption file related to the National Shipping Company for Travelers.
In this case, the former general manager of the National Corporation for Maritime Transport of Passengers, Kamal Asaad, and the former commercial director, Karim Bouznad, are following up in this case, in addition to other officials of the same company on charges related to willful waste and illegal use of property and public funds, abuse of influence, abuse of position and enrichment. Illegal, and this is against the background of the return of two ships belonging to the company, almost empty, from Marseille towards Skikda and Algiers.
It is noteworthy that the Economic and Financial Criminal Court in Sidi M’hamed had issued penalties condemning the former general manager of the company to 6 years in force in prison and 5 years in force in prison against the commercial director, and other provisions ranging from non-enforceable imprisonment to acquittals against other former officials of the company.
